Destiny Calling. In the beginning there were just two friends Maria and Dana going about their 9 to 5's in what the author "Stuart Wilde" calls the tick- tock of daily life, until something struck them simultaneously.
But unbeknown to each other at this point. They were merely putting out their own individual intentions and calling upon the universe to lead them to fulfil a hearts desire to do something, well, with a purpose and change their lives. Not a fast track to make a quick buck. No, fundamentally it came from a longing to be part of something that enriched themselves and others. Of course it would be plain silly not to make some sort of living from whatever it might be. This is planet earth after all!
They had been making a reasonably healthy income so far, but they were consciously aware that there might have to be financial sacrifices to embark upon a whole new unknown endeavour.
True to the power of affirmations, Destiny soon showed up in the form of a dream to one of them. An empty shop also swiftly presented itself. One friend phoned the other in the usual ‘catch-up’ kind of way, to discover to their surprise that they had both been focusing on life changes and transformation. Chatter of dreams and shops exchanged, so it was that the dream came to life…
Destiny Holistic Shop opened in the balmy summer of 98 on a shoestring budget. Looking back the shelves must have been a little on the empty side. But what stock was lacking on the abundance-ometer was made up for in sheer determination that this space would blossom.
These days over 7 years on, Destiny boasts incredibly full shelves, brimming with happy, sparkly crystals from all over the planet. A healthy selection of books and CD’s, incense and oils that nicely
intoxicate from the moment you arrive. Pagan goods, Buddha’s, gifts and more, but you will see for yourself as you browse our colourful pages.
Eventually by way of a loan and a clever builder, the roof space was transformed as another working area for treatments, readings and courses.
This has been a superb journey for Maria and Dana, they decided to design their Destiny to encompass a space where healing a growth could take place in a warm nurturing atmosphere, where everything needed to encourage holistic self development was available for others whose destiny was still unclear.
Maria and Dana have watched lives transformed over the years, by attending the groups and seminars held at Destiny and lead by the loving and caring life teachers attached to the shop.
Their friendly staff offers guidance and help daily to a very varied customer base. There is always a smile and a sunny reception to all who step over the threshold. Destiny has taken on a life all of its own that makes people feel good, even on rainy days.
